The Faculty of Education at Hanoi University of Science and Technology considers international cooperation as a key driving force for enhancing the quality of teaching, learning, and research. Through proactively building and maintaining collaborative relationships with prestigious educational institutions and academic organizations worldwide, the Faculty not only contributes to realizing the university's internationalization strategy but also creates an open, highly connected academic environment where faculty members and students can access advanced knowledge, technology, and methodologies.

International Research Excellence

The Faculty's scientific research activities are conducted in close collaboration with leading international scholars across multiple disciplines. Faculty members regularly engage in joint research with partners from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Italy, France, Taiwan, Malaysia, and China. This collaboration not only enhances the quality of scientific publications but also expands academic networks, encourages idea exchange, and develops new research directions. Over the past two years, the Faculty has co-hosted the International Conference on Educational Science and Foreign Language Teaching (ICEF), serving as a vital platform for gathering international expertise and fostering scholarly discourse among global researchers. This collaboration not only enhances the quality of scientific publications but also expands academic networks, encourages idea exchange, and develops new research directions.

Long-term and Sustainable Training Cooperation

Since 1998, the Faculty has collaborated with the Institute for Vocational Teacher Education – TU Dresden University (Federal Republic of Germany) in postgraduate education. Four Vietnamese-German graduate courses have been successfully organized, establishing the foundation for implementing joint master's and doctoral training programs in the future. These programs aim to standardize content, teaching methods, and assessment according to international standards, helping learners enhance their professional competencies and research skills.

Academic Exchange and International Collaboration

Since 2022, the Faculty has partnered with Shibaura Institute of Technology (Japan) to organize the gPBL program in both Vietnam and Japan, combined with student exchange for learning and research purposes. Simultaneously, the Faculty has invited scholars from prestigious universities such as Monash University (Australia), State University of New York at Albany (USA), University of Cincinnati (USA), and University of Hong Kong to conduct professional seminars and research and teaching skills training for faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students. The Faculty also hosts international students participating in exchange programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, contributing to promoting a multicultural academic environment.

Network Activities

The Faculty currently serves as the host unit for the IPDA Vietnam network – a branch of the International Professional Development Association (IPDA) established in 1968 in the United Kingdom. IPDA's mission is to connect global educators, promoting dialogue on policy, practice, and research in professional development. IPDA Vietnam focuses on promoting interdisciplinary learning and professional development, particularly in educational technology, STEM education, educational management, and human resource development.

Additionally, the Faculty has been a member of the ASEAN-China Digital Education Alliance (ACDEA) since August 2023, with nearly 70 members from regional countries. Through ACDEA, the Faculty actively participates in digital transformation cooperation activities in education, notably the 2024 Alliance Conference within the framework of ASEAN-China Education Cooperation Week, where the Faculty shared initiatives and experiences in training digitalization.

With a vision of deep and comprehensive integration and sustainable cooperation strategy, the Faculty of Educational Science and Technology will continue to expand its international cooperation network, enhance the quality of training, research, and academic exchange. The ultimate goal is to build a dynamic academic community, closely connected with the region and the world, contributing to the development of science, technology, and education in Vietnam on the international stage.
